My name is Gloria Schramm’ Miller, I was born in Newport beach, California in 1958. Later moving to rural Putnam County, Ohio where I live with my husband Terry of twenty six years. I have two grown children and one grandchild.
My passion for art was noticed early in my childhood. I loved to draw and color. I entered local art contests using a lot of bold color to make my art stand out over others. When I was a freshman in high school I was voted in as President of the art club with approximately fifty members. I never took formal lessons in the art field, only high school art and a private portraiture class. I create from the heart and believe this is the Lord's plan for me to share my gift with others.
I have been rendering commissioned work since I was seventeen years old. My sister Sandra and I had a small portrait business in high school.
I started Gloria's Gallery in the year 2000 with somewhat of a different approach. My plan was to create unique environments for homes or business. It maybe as simple as a room color change to express a personality, a faux finish or a small or large scale mural. I felt I could transform their surroundings into something wonderful. Murals are my specialty and I like to plan all my decor around them to bring out the individuals style.
The use of Trompe l’oeil, the art of tricking the eye into seeing what isn’t there, is an inexpensive yet stunning way to add illusion of space, grandeur or a whimsical interior. No matter how small or uninspiring a room or hallway may be, the creative application of paint can transform every area of the home or business.
I feel it's possible to turn anyones decorating ideas into reality. I have helped clients in many problem areas in their homes and love the challenge.
As you will see in my galleries I do many different types of paintings. I try to visualize my clients wants for a particular subject. This keeps my work interesting and allows me to expand my horizons.
Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you enjoy viewing my art work. I look forward to hearing from you via email or by calling my art gallery. |
